Lonely Boy was a TV-documentary about PAUL ANKA, at the time a teen idol across the continent and was broadcast on CBC's The Lively Arts series in January 1962. The then 20-year-old Ottawa native poses with the co-directors of the National Film Board production, ROMAN KROITOR (left) and WOLF KOENIG (right).
It was in this documentary that we got the first hint of, what a real teenage idol was to become:
Anka is standing in his dressing room, drying his hair, clad in only his jockeys and a photographer asks, if he can take pictures...
Anka answers: - Sure, go right ahead!
The pictures seem to be missing from the net, though...
But if you are searching for pictures of Leif Garrett with his shirt and pants on - forget it! |
